Allan Price - Rhythm Guitar Al’s interest in music began in his cousin Valerie’s front room in 1960... He moved on quickly from that moment and after saving up £27.00 from pocket money and buying his own record player, Al purchased his first album At Home With The Beatle’s and that was that. A year later someone lent him Dylan’s Times They Are A Changing and Al was so moved by Dylan’s music that he knew there and then that he needed to find out how to play the guitar. Since then Al has been in love with the instrument and the music it produces and has been producing his own music for over forty years. Al has played in several bands of several genres from traditional folk to progressive rock . He has played onstage with Martin Carthy the great folk legend, as well as warming up for the late, great John Martyn , to name but a couple... As the founder member of this band Al is proud to be associated with his fellow band members and friends. Not only do they bring me and their audience great joy but they are the best group of musicians I shall ever have the honour of playing with. Al plays a Godin electric guitar as well as coveting his Fender Tele and Stratocastors. I may be long in the tooth but playing the guitar is still my passion and I learn something new every time I pick it up......though maybe a bit slower than twenty years ago." Al is considered the Daddy of the band and has played with Andy since the beginning, ensuring that a sense of professionalism, maturity and fun is instilled into the younger generations!!
